All about Trilogy’s Apprenticeship Programs

Trilogy offers a wide range of Apprenticeship Programs to help you learn more and earn more. Some of our Apprenticeship Programs are registered – and that’s a big deal. It means they’re certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, so they’re an important step in helping you advance your career.

See how fast you can complete an apprenticeship.

It all depends on the program – and you! Most people can finish in about 12 months. But you should know:

  • Each program has different achievement levels.
  • They’re all online and self-paced, so you can learn according to your schedule.

Some Nurse Aide programs (CNA and QMA) also include some in-person components (but we’ll guide you through every step)!

Ready to take the next step? (And the next, and the next?). Here’s how to apply.

See what happens after you apply for an apprenticeship.

You completed your paperwork. You submitted the application. Now … you wait.

Not long, though! Your application may take up to 72 hours to be approved. But then you can access your courses online through Trilogy University. If it’s your first time applying – or you’re moving on to the next track in a program – you’ll need to sign some paperwork in person. Your Employee Experience Manager will bring the paperwork to you. It’s easy as that!

But, wait? You say more than 72 hours have gone by since you applied? Don’t worry. Here’s what to do next:

  1. Submit an incident report here.
  2. Or head to Compass here. Once you’re there, go to the Employee Services page and click on the ES Helpdesk portal.

Here’s what the program is like.

As you work through the program, you’ll complete online courses, knowledge checks and testing to show what you’ve learned. You may have some hands-on learning, as well.
After finishing each level, here’s what happens next:

  1. Ask your department leader to print your “verification of competency” checklist.
  2. Next, have your department leader sign it.
  3. Give the signed checklist to your EXM to start your premium pay for your new program level.

When will I see the extra cash?

It can take up to three pay periods for your new premium pay to show up in your paycheck. Once you’ve completed a level:

  • Wait three days before you apply for the next level in Trilogy University.
  • You’ll also need to apply for each new level through RedeApp.

Have access to computer and the internet?

If so, you’re golden. You can also use the computer at your workplace that’s available for everyone to use. Since most program tracks are online, you’ll need to access them through the internet.

  • Since you’ll complete the program on your own time, you can use campus computers before or after your shifts.
  • In-person requirements can be arranged with your DA.

Having trouble? We can help.

Are you having technical issues? If so, the Employee Services team can help. Just submit a ticket directly in Compass. Courses are self-paced and do not expire, so you won’t lose progress if you need to pause or have technical issues.

If you’re a Nurse Aide who’s moving up, read this: Congratulations on your accomplishment! One extra note about pay: Once you’ve moved on to a non-clinical position or become an LPN or RN, the Nurse Aide premium pay no longer applies.

If you’re a Culinary apprentice, read this: Great job! We look forward to tasting your work! Once you complete the relevant apprenticeship level, speak to your Employee Experience Manager about ordering your chef coat or knives. They’ll place the order for you. Coats are earned after completion of Culinary 101. Knives are earned after completion of Culinary 201.
