Take your job from good to great.

Around here, certifications aren’t just another box to check — they’re an opportunity to shine.

Getting certified will help you grow as a professional, develop new skills and step into critical roles that make a meaningful impact. And in many cases, we’ll help you pay for your certification. It’s our way of saying, “Hey, we believe in you.”

One quick note about certifications: There’s a lot to know, and things can change! Check in with your HR team to get all the details about which certifications are available, what we cover and more.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Qualified Medication Assistant (QMA)

As a CNA, you’ll be able to take on more responsibilities and provide hands-on patient care — things like taking vital signs, performing range-of-motion exercises and supporting our residents’ personal hygiene.

CNAs who are ready to take on a more specialized role can get their QMA certification. These professionals are entrusted with safely administering the medications that help residents get the most out of every day.

And another cool thing? Once you earn your certification, we’ll review your base pay to make sure it reflects your skills and stays competitive for the area where you work.

You’ll learn how to put effective strategies into place, ensure front-line staff follow best practices and reduce health care-associated infections and antibiotic resistance.

This course covers:

  • Core activities of an effective IPC program

Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification (RAC-CT) through AAPACN

Want to build your expertise in patient care planning? Taking your documentation skills from good to great can change our residents’ lives for the better. A Minimum Data Set (MDS) certification will teach you how to use the MDS tool to uncover each person’s unique needs and develop personalized care plans that make a difference. Trilogy covers certification costs for eligible employees.

Who’s eligible?

All campus MDS Coordinators who have been in the role for at least six months at Trilogy are eligible to enroll. Once certified, campus MDS Coordinators must submit their certification to their Employee Experience Manager.

MDS Floats and Support can also have certification costs covered by Trilogy and are encouraged to earn the certification, though there is no pay increase for these roles.

How to apply: Submit your initial certification and recertification requests through the AAPACN Education/Certification Request Form.

Anything else I should know?

  • Certification must be renewed every two years to maintain eligibility for the $1/hour premium pay.
  • Failure to recertify on time could result in losing premium pay.
